You will see a Practice Nurse for:

  • Immunisations (Adult & Child)
  • Cervical Screening
  • Long Term Condition reviews i.e. Diabetes, Hypertension, Asthma etc.
  • ECG / 24hr BP monitoring / Spirometry
  • Wound Care
  • Contraception 

Healthcare Assistants

Healthcare assistants support practice nurses with their daily work. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.

You will see a Health Care Assistant for:

  • Phlebotomy (Bloods)
  • Blood Pressure Check
  • ECG / 24 hr BP Check / Spirometry
  • Long Term Condition Review
  • Shingles / Pneumo / Flu Vaccinations
  • B12 Injection
  • Smoking Cessation
  • NHS Health Checks
  • Wound Care
