Welcome to Blaydon GP surgery
Please see the dates and times below for flu clinics at the surgeries. Those who qualify are over 65’s, pregnant patients, younger children and those with chronic diseases. Click on this link to see a more comprehensive list of those eligible
Children at school will be vaccinated by the school nurses, the surgeries will see the 2 and 3 year olds, and any child with a chronic disease. Children will be given appointments with the Practice Nurse
Please note that people in the 50-64-year old age group will not be vaccinated until November and December, providing there is sufficient vaccine, and no appointments will be offered for this age group until then. This is to ensure that those who are most at risk are vaccinated first. If you are 50-64 and you are in one of the other groups which is eligible for the flu vaccination, for example you have a health condition which puts you at risk from the flu, you will be invited earlier.
Please contact the surgery for an appointment. Making the clinics covid safe is a huge undertaking due to the number of patients needing a vaccine. You can help us by not attending more than a few minutes early for your appointment time to avoid overcrowding and wearing a face covering when inside the surgery building. Please note that we will not be able to address any other issue during a flu clinic as we have to keep the flow of patients moving through to avoid a build up of waiting patients.
